The Brunch Cardigan is back off the backburner, and body and sleeve pieces are now joined. As I work upwards from the underarms, cursing my choice of two different cables on sleeve and body, and marvelling at anyone who’s ever finished an Aran, I feel like things are finally starting to come together. It’s beginning to look like a garment to fit a human.
At the moment my plan is to work a saddle shoulder as described in Elizabeth Zimmermann’s Knitting Without Tears, and insert a zipper for the front by modifying these instructions to crochet a chain along the edge (I’m thinking a similar way to crocheting across the top of teatowels as per this project).
Fun times ahead!
