Elinor is running the Socks Revived sock design contest between March 8th and April 19th. The idea is to encourage the creation of new, inspiring sock designs. Fresh off the Ravelympics I’m pretty keen to knit some more sweaters, but have a newly-arrived stash of Panda Cotton that deserves to be shown off.
I would love to see some vegan entries in this comp—apart from the fun of such a sweetly-motivated challenge, it’s a great chance for aspiring sock designers to get a bit of exposure and experience the camraderie of the sock design world.

I ran across a non-Panda vegan sock yarn the other day while I was at work at my yarn shop. And now I can’t remember what it’s called. But. I am going to go check it out in a few days and report back to you.
Also, how readily available are Berroco and/or Debbie Bliss yarns down by you? They have some fingering weight yarns that are animal fiber free.
